Bridging Islamic financial principles with modern accounting integrity
My name is Arsyad Rahmatullah Syamil, an Accounting and Islamic Finance enthusiast who is deeply passionate about how ethics, transparency, and sharia principles can shape a more sustainable financial future. I began my academic journey in Islamic Accounting with a genuine curiosity: How can finance be designed to empower people, not overwhelm them? That question became the starting point of my exploration into Islamic banking, auditing, financial literacy, and the growing landscape of Islamic fintech.
Throughout my studies, I have been actively involved in the Islamic economics community, including KSEI PROGRES, where I collaborate with fellow students and practitioners to promote financial literacy, economic inclusion, and the spirit of socio-economic justice. These experiences have strengthened not only my technical understanding of sharia-based finance but also my commitment to public education and community empowerment.
What truly drives me is the belief that ethical finance is not just a system, it is a responsibility. As Indonesia continues to advance in Islamic financial development and becomes an emerging leader in global Islamic fintech, I want to be part of the generation that contributes to this momentum. Whether through research, auditing, digital financial innovation, or literacy initiatives, I aim to help bridge the gap between knowledge, accessibility, and real-world impact.
Today, I continue sharpening my expertise in accounting, auditing, and Islamic financial instruments while exploring how technology can accelerate inclusion and expand opportunities for the wider community. My journey is still growing, and I am excited to keep learning, collaborating, and contributing to a more transparent, inclusive, and ethical financial ecosystem.
